Advanced Database Suite...

Digital Gridworks™ Studio is a new database studio that is aimed at becoming the Swiss Army knife of database tools. We initially started developing thisbecause our consulting staff needed specific database tooling to address some very specialized needs. However, as the software was used and expanded on a daily basis by our staff, it expanded into a full, cross-platform, database-independent, very extensible database suite with some unique advanced features including:
  • Data Migration Services Engine: The engine lets users move and manipulate data between different sources and destinations in a very programatic and automatable way. The Replication Engine can replicate data across two data sources in a non-destructive, compare-and-update manner which makes publishing data to production systems very simple.
  • Diagram Editor: This tool allows you to create database diagrams from the primary and foreign key constraints set in the database. You can edit the diagrams and save them to a file for further use by yourself and others.
  • Compare Table Definitions: Many timees we have found ourselves working on a development database and wondering what we have changed in terms of database structure. This tool will compare two tables or databases and find the differences for you.
  • Advanced Data Search: Not all database engines come with the searching power of regular expressions across all columns of all tables. This tool can be used in various ways to mine a database for complex data patterns.
  • Extensible Plugin and Database Grammar Framework: The suite is designed around plugins, extensions, and database grammars to allow userrs to add functionality to the tools. We will be providing SDK documentation on how to develop for Digital Gridworks soon. However, if you are interested in starting now, feel free to contact us.
The best part about Digital Gridworks™ Studio is that it is fully cross-platform with supportplanned for Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX. It also is very database-independent in that it shouldoperate with any database that has a JDBC driver. Currently, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL aresupported.

Digital Gridworks™ Studio is currently in a beta release program. We invite you to download the beta version, test it out, and let us know what you think. If you like it and want to buy now, we are selling licenses for the final 2.x production release of the suite at reduced rates.
